The combination of turquoise sea, pine clad islands dotted around in the gulf and the majestic Taurus mountains, truly give Fethiye the WOW factor!! Situated in the heart of ancient Lycia, the region offers an amazing range of attractions to cater for all tastes.

Boat cruises operate every day during the summer, enabling you to explore the islands and swim in the crystal clear waters. Dolphins can often be spotted in the gulf of Fethiye, as can loggerhead turtles. Horse riding, white water rafting, para-gliding, diving or exploring the many interesting historical sites, are just some of the popular activities in the area.

Fethiye is a bustling lively market town and it remains open all year around. There are many bars, restaurants, banks, shops and of course the famous bazaar (open every Tuesday).

The “old town” district (Paspatur), is a colourful scene of old Ottoman houses with their distinctive architecture and shops stocking locally produces handicrafts such as silver jewellery and leather bags. It is also where you can join the locals for a Turkish Bath!!

Fethiye has two private hospitals – both with English speaking staff and up-to-date equipment.

There are several resorts close by. Calis with its beach front and truly amazing sunsets, lies just a few km from Fethiye and there is a regular bus service between resorts. There is also a water taxi service which runs from Fethiye to Calis about every 20 minutes during the summer season, until 23.30 each evening. There are many bars and restaurants in Calis and a number do stay open during the winter.

It has become a very popular spot indeed for Europeans to buy property.

Hisaronu is set on a mountain plateau and packed with lively bars and restaurants. A regular bus service runs between the town and Fethiye. Also its only a few minutes drive (car or bus) from Olu Deniz with its famous blue lagoon.

The other resort in the immediate area is Ovacik. Quieter than Hisaronu and with cooling mountain breezes and lovely views, it is a very popular residential area.

The brand new ski resort in the beautiful Seki region is only an hours drive away. Imagine, in the springtime you can ski in the mornings and swim in the crystal clear waters of Oludeniz lagoon in the afternoon!!

Dalaman airport is only 45 minutes drive from Fethiye and there are regular flights to Europe throughout the year.
